Frequently Asked Questions

A speech-language-communication assessment can help you better understand your child’s development. Subodha uses a dynamic assessment tool to identify gaps, profile skill level across various functional domains and arrive at a baseline to start therapy.

An assessment session conducted by a therapist will last for about 1 & a half hours at Subodha.

There is no ideal age to seek assessment. If you suspect that your child is not developing age-appropriate communication, please seek professional help at the earliest. At Subodha, we assess children who are as young as 2 years old upto the age of 22 years.

Subodha has an assessment protocol. The therapist will gather some information from parents, make direct observations of the child, parent-child interaction and involve the child directly too to assess certain skills. Sometimes, parents may be asked to share brief video recordings of their child in particular settings or activities to gain more insights about the child.
